New Pond Farm Education Center of Redding is pleased to announce its ninth biennial Art Show to benefit its educational programs. This show will showcase artwork by the region’s finest artists, a silent auction, art demonstrations, and activities for children and adults- all celebrating timeless themes of nature and agrarian life inspired by New Pond Farm’s property.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

In addition to Free self-guided handouts, Art Week activities include: Bird Carving Workshop, Pollinator Parcheesi, Nature’s Art Supplies, Tiny Worlds, Butterfly Capes, & Earth Art. All artwork is for sale from June 3-11, with the Education Center receiving a portion of the proceeds. More than 50 years ago, New Pond Farm was the home of founder, actress and environmentalist Carmen Mathews. She wanted her beautiful 102-acres of pastures, woodlands, and wetlands to serve as an oasis where people could connect with the natural world. Over the years, the property has evolved into a comprehensive educational center and working farm offering a wide range of school and community programs as well as signature summer programs for inner city and local children. More information on the Education Center, the Art Show, and Art Week activities (including registration) can be found at www.newpondfarm.org or by calling 203-938-2117.
