2018 has been declared the “Year of the Bird." This program is filled with hands-on activities that are fun and educational for the whole family including a mini bird walk, and a feeding of our birds of prey.

2018 has been declared the “Year of the Bird” by the National Audubon Society, National Geographic, and many others, including Westchester County. Bronx River Sound Shore Audubon is joining this effort to to spread awareness and make the connection between the well-being of birds and the natural world. This program is filled with hands-on activities that are fun and educational for the whole family including a mini bird walk, a feeding of our birds of prey, and a discussion about importance of the Endangered Species Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which have saved countless species from extinction.
