Trailblazer Camp programs are for students who will be entering grade 8 or 9 in the fall.

July 23 – 27: CT Sci-Borg Solutions

Cyborgs, bio-enhancements, smart-limbs, what is the world coming to? Investigate the interaction between technology and biology. Design a prosthetic prototype to help an elephant get back on her feet, and bio-engineer a new beak for a Bald Eagle. Learn how artificial limbs can help both people and animals and tour our new traveling exhibit Bionic Me!

 

July 30 – August 3: Art-Sci

Explore the link between art and science. See how artists use science to help them create masterpieces, and scientists use art to communicate the wonders of the universe!

 

August 6 – August 10: Robots Inc.

Innovate your way up the Robots Inc. ladder. Engineering and programming successes are rewarded with Science Center bucks. Each new rank earns you more money to buy what you need to accomplish your new challenges.

 

August 13 – August 17: The Game Forge

What makes a dynamite board game? Come explore how choice and probability affects fun. Become a board game designer and create an experience where the balance between chance and skill determines the winner.
