Weekly Program Rate: $325 members/$350 non-members
(4-day week of July 4th $260 members/$280 non-members)
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Extended Day Program: (fee $75/week)
Hours: Monday-Friday 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Extended Day participants enjoy additional activities & outdoor time, weather permitting.
OCEAN EXPLORERS June 26 – 30
Plunge into a week of ocean exploration! Build and test simple submarines. Discover the methods we use to explore the oceans of the world. We’ll even see if your counselors sink or float in homemade boats!
MAKE SOME TREBLE July 3 – 7
Ever wondered how some of your favorite instruments work? Join us for a week on the science of sound and music to find out. You’ll even get to make an instrument to take home. Musical talent is not required to have fun.
ROLL WITH IT July 10 – 14
Ready to take a Risk? If you get in Trouble or feel like you’re in a Mouse Trap with the games you have at home, we’re ready to help you roll the dice and learn the mechanics and dynamics of gameplay to create your own tabletop game! You won’t be Sorry.
CHEF SCHOOL July 17 – 21
Serve up some tasty science all week as we explore the science of food. Test your tastebuds, learn why we prepare certain foods the way we do, and of course, try the food you prepare!
ROBOTICS 202 July 24 – 28
Try your hand at programming some of our robotic friends here at Discovery. You’ll do challenges with our existing robots, and even figure out how to build one of your own. Join us for a week of building and coding fun!
SPY LAB July 31 – August 4
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: master the skills essential to being a spy. Learn fingerprinting techniques, send coded messages, solve mysteries, and more!
CANDY LAB August 7 – 11
Get a taste of the sweet science of candy as we learn how different kinds of treats are made. We’ll make and test them, too–don’t forget to bring your sweet tooth!
