Kick Start Your Spring Vegetable Garden at Lachat Town Farm

Spring is the moment when a great garden is made—or missed. This interactive workshop will walk you through everything you need to know to launch a healthy, productive vegetable garden from day one.
We’ll cover how to prep your soil, what to plant first, smart layout and spacing, and the small early decisions that make a big difference all season long. Whether you’re starting from scratch or trying to do better than last year, you’ll leave with clear next steps, a planting plan, and the confidence to get growing. Children are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Perfect for beginners and returning gardeners who want a strong, stress-free start to the season. Due to generous donations to the farm, we are thrilled to be able to offer garden education to the community free of charge. However, due to space constraints, pre-registration is required.
