Insect Ecology and Collecting Workshop at Great Hollow

Did you know there’s a “National Moth Week” and it’s right around the corner? Come to Great Hollow to learn all about moths and other insects with our very own insect expert, Ben Lee. In this walk & talk program, Ben will take you on a guided hike focused on the fascinating ecology and life-history of insects. You’ll also get try your hand at some of the techniques scientists use to catch insects, and then learn how to identify what you found under a microscope. You can then take what you learned home with you and discover the wild world of insects living in your own backyard.
