Carousel Kidsignment Boutique is a store that offers more than consignment.
All of the inventory is inspected for stains, holes or wear before being accepted.
We want to change the expectations of our customers when they think of consignment.
We want to provide a shopping experience where clothes are arranged by size, sleeve lenth, tops and bottoms. There are also racks devoted to dresses, sleep gear, swim attire and some twin outfits. This is designed to improve the shopper's experience minimizing the time it takes to find a great deal on the items you may be searching for.
The store carries new merchandise in our boutique section which are made by local moms and artists, and offer unique gift ideas, personalization, and the ability to dress kids in a cute and affordable fashion.
The store is also one of the few retailers in the Connecticut area that offers cloth diapers. Instead of parents having to order cloth diapers online where they cannot see, feel or experiment with how the diapers work. Parents have the ability to come in first hand and try them out in person. In addition our diapers retail for between $10-$12, versus several online sources that charge on average $22-$25 per diaper.
For potential Consignors we offer an online account where you will have a complete detailed report of your inventory what it is priced for and when a product sells. The Consignor agreement provides the consignor 40% of every item sold if we pay in the form of a check, and 50% with store credit.
Through July 4th we will also be offering a hand made craft project where children can make a hand print American Flag T-shirt on site.
The Grand Opening event is June 27th from 10am-4pm and will be free to the public. Activities include:
