FATHER’S DAY AT MYSTIC SEAPORT

Your choices of activities include:
– Getting out on the river on one of our JY15 sailboats with your son, daughter, spouse, or grandchild;
– Racing our remote controlled boats
– Rowing one of our smaller boats with the family
– Nautical craft activities great for any age (especially for the wee ones or any landlubbers who prefer to admire the river from shore)
Coffee and snacks will be provided. The Mystic Seaport Sailing Center has personal floatation devices (PFDs) that fit young children through adult sizes, but does not have infant PFDs. You may bring your own PFD with you.
Sailing a JY15
For safety concerns, only one adult and one child will be paired in any vessel. All equipment, except foul-weather gear, is provided. While a sailing instructor will be present to assist as needed, this is not a formal class and some prior sailing experience is required.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a change of clothes, and a towel. If the weather conditions are deemed unsafe that morning, we will still offer our craft activity and snacks inside the Mystic Seaport Sailing Center.
