The Seaside Center is open for the summer from Tuesday - Sunday.

Although admission to the Seaside Center is free, from May through October a beach pass is required to enter Greenwich Point Park, where the Seaside Center is located. See the Town of Greenwich website for beach pass and parking pass information. 

 

 

Tuesdays

Shoreline Seining at Low Tide 11:00 am: June 23, July 7, 21, Aug 4

2:00 pm: Aug 18, 25

4:00 pm: June 30, July 14, 28, Aug 11

Help us collect data for the Long Island Sound biodiversity database.

 

Wednesdays

Coastal Scavenger Hunt 11:00 am: June 24, July 8, 22, Aug 5, 19

4:00 pm: July 1, 15, 29, Aug 12, 26

Timed for low tide exploration. A scavenger hunt for nature’s treasures.

 

Thursdays

Animal Feeding 12:00 pm

Join us in feeding all the creatures in our aquariums!

Squid Dissection 2:30 pm Join us for a special opportunity to learn all about these fascinating mollusks!

 

Fridays

Seaweed Pressing 11:00 am & 3:00 pm

Look at the different seaweeds around Greenwich Point and learn about their role in the marine ecosystem. We will end with a seaweed pressing activity to take home!

Arts and Crafts 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Let your creativity float free! Activities vary every week.

 

 

Saturdays

Naturalist’s Choice 1:00 pm Be surprised! Changing topic that is fun and fascinating selected by the Naturalist !

 

Sundays

Animal Feeding 12:00 pm Join us in feeding all the creatures in our aquariums! Occupants might be hermit, horseshoe, and spider crabs, sea urchins, and lobster!

Shoreline Seining and Plankton Tow 2:30 pm Help us gather plankton and see what creatures are living in our ocean’s water! Examine microscopic organisms caught in our plankton net under a microscope.
