Block Party at Connecticut River Museum
The block party will take place on the Museum campus and feature a full day of events geared to all ages. Attendees can look forward to food and beverage vendors along with live music! Children will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of educational activities centered around history and nature. Compete at lawn game classic Cornhole and try the historic game that inspired it, Quoits! Both games will test the accuracy of your throwing arm. Or play a game of Croquet. Croquet sets were historically manufactured in Vermont and shipped down the Connecticut River, causing a mid-1800s sensation! Children can also play Graces with a hoop and a rod, which used to teach children grace and poise in the early 1800s, or Bocce Ball, which traces its origins back to the Roman empire!
