Barking Up the Right Tree at Ansonia Nature Center

Have you ever wanted to learn how to identify different trees based on the texture of their bark? Come join us for an opportunity to do just that! As a group, you will get to study and feel different textures of some familiar household objects to use your sense of touch to differentiate objects. Afterward, you will make various bark rubbings from trees located around the Nature Center, where you’ll use your newly acquired knowledge to match the bark rubbings to their corresponding trees. For ages 8 and up.
