Our 2021 Summer Concert Series continues with Brazilian jazz band, Maria Tiscia & Rio Bound. Special thanks to our concert series sponsor, First County Bank. Dedicated to our friend and advisor, Gail Malloy.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The concert will take place on the Great Lawn. Bring chairs or a blanket, and a picnic dinner. In the event of rain, the concert will take place in the Silver Educational Center.

Brazil makes a stop in Stamford when the jazz quartet Rio Bound performs a mix of Brazilian jazz favorites. The ensemble is a longtime mainstay of area venues, having opened for Diane Reeves at a Jazz Up July concert in 2013. The group plans to play such classics as Sergio Mendes & Brazil ’66, as well as selections from Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins and Marcos Ville. The other members of Rio Bound are David Oliver on piano, Geoff Morrow on bass and Joey B. on drums.
